And so i got my gown and attended the Engineers Dining session on last fri evening... That was on... 8/5/05? Went for a manicure, had my eyebrows trimmed and was late for my hair appt at Kimarie.. But Elaine was nice... guess cos its a weekday ba...I actualli got my hair curled!!! wavy.... hehe... Love it!!! Was contemplating on whether to style it all up or curl it... Glad i chose the latter.. Hehe... Thanks to Elaine!
Dear came to pick me up from suntec and we rushed all the way back... Luckily we managed to leave the house n reach Fullerton on time... Well. not exactly on time.. hehe.. but we werent the latest!
Not much ladies wor... so got to pinch dear for tt... Hmmph!
Saw a couple of familiar faces but onli remembered a few names... Saw Desmond Seng our pri schmate too!
I dun realli like the number 2 uniform... looks so weird... esp the red bowtie...*shrugs*. But still, dear looks quite handsome in it... haha... BHB...
Being a western fine dining event, we had to u know, observe e dining etiquette... Thank god we had etiquette classes in poly... haha... Had appetiser, soup, main course, dessert, coffee/tea and bread n wine too! We were seated in those long tables and its so long i duno whether its a guy or a gal seated at the end... hahah...
As usual, there were the video clips... the speech... more speech... and prize presentation blah blah... Not as interesting as the commissioning ball but well at least we werent seated wif Colonel Teo this time round... =) We had toasts too! Port Wine! The toastings were quite "fascinating" to me.. There were 3 main toasts... To the Singapore President... to Thailand GOH... To the Engineers... I think so...
Well aniwae the event ended behind schedule and the light games were eliminated from e programme list... Throughout the event, dear n i onli managed to take a couple of photos... Pathetic numbers... =( sob sob.... Cant i haf more photos of me with wavy hair? sob....
Okie lah gtg now... actualli today is 18/04/05... i saved a draft of this entry the other time w/o completing the entry... ended up finishin it up a week later... haha... Can barely keep my eyes open le... Nitey nite peeps!
p/s: Thanks to mum (from my heart) for sewing the maroon gown for me!!! She's an amazing woman! muack!
