Went for my 1st big walk yesterday... 22/05/05. With Yuefen, Jasmine and Dear....3 words to describe it--- Hot, Tired, Achievement!
Hot--
The weather was realli hot.... sun was scorching hot... was sweating like nobody business... and the BIG BIG BIG WALK Tee doesnt help much... The sleeves jus made me veri veri irritated.... =( Luckily i got a towel... thanks dear... can use to clean the perspire and to shade myself from the sun... There was a few occassions whereby i look more like a blangadesh man cleaning the nicoll highway.... haha... shall wait for dear to upload the pics...
Tired--
Due to lack of exercise for days...weeks... months... years... This big walk is a huge test for me... haha.. The first few kms were still okay... its after the U TURN tt i realli start to complain... seriously complain... tt was 5 km into the walk.... GUess the sun played a realli huge part in this too... Was practically dragging my feet... getting dragged by dear... And it was practically a "shadeless walk" NO SHADE!!! Well cant expect trees in e middle of a highway... My electric fan was realli of no use... Ya i bought a handheld electric fan... yaya... i know... terrible rite? But it was such a wonderful tot to be able to walk wif some cool air blowing at us... couldnt resist the buy mah... *bought it at Mini Toons Northpt for $5 plus... got rainbow colours when e blade is whirling wor*
Achievement--
Felt a sense of achievement at every KM pt.. whereby there was a "label/stand" letting us know how far we haf walked... the 5 KM pt was realli veri veri shiok... hahaha... But then.... after 5 km, i didnt realli felt that excited whenever i see the markings... was more of irritated... like " HUH? 7KM onli?! But it seems like i walked for 8 or 9KM le!?!kns" By e time we reached the ending pt, all tt was in my mind was onli " I wan aircon n shade". But too bad, none of tt..... Thinking back, i m quite satisfied to know tt we managed to finish the whole 10km walk, PLUS the additional 1 or 2KM more for travellin from the bus to the start off pt and from the ending pt to the Kallang MRT station... Wat a Walk!!
We took some photos too... and along the way got to see the cute puppies n doggies... Lovely... Was quite tempted to ask Yuefen, jas and dear to take a photo on the pavement of Nicoll Highway... as in everyone sit down on e road and get someone to take a pic for us.. But never did tt... Cos was too tired to even open my mouth and expressed the idea.... duh.....
So after being awake n walking since 5am and 7am plus respectively, it was a pleasant journey on e train back to yishun... 4 knock outs on e train.... zzz from Marina Bay till yishun.... =) Dear n i practically sleep walk back home...
Back home, horrible horrible... Discovered rashes on my body... AGAIN... Dear u see!!! AGAIN! ur gf can not tahan heat and sweat.... sigh... Felt so much better after a nice cool bath...
Went out wif dear again at 3 plus i think.... went to catch a movie... had a quick Long John meal... bought a present for Edwin... fetch his mum at Marina... fetch his dad at golden mile.... and its back home... H..O..M..E... nice feeling...
zzzzzzzzz quite early...........
A veri veri tiring day indeed..... But a nice memory.... Thanks yuefen, jasmine and dear....... for being able to tahan my complains... hahaha.... Muack!
