The lift jumped!!It really did!!!
Never knew they can jump...
Made me jumped too..
Well anyway, I was taking the lift up home just now.
Just immediately after the door closed, the lift jumped.
It was like a violent shake up and down. Like spring u know?
I pressed the OPEN button a few times before the door open.
I was like.. ermm.. maybe its just an one-off minor mechanical fault.. so I closed the door again..
And then there was another jump.
Shit.
I pressed the OPEN button again but this time round nothing happened!!!
Shit.
First tot that came to my mind was "In case of emergency, do not panic". -_____-
Hah! do not panic.. easier said than done.
And yah I know that's not the exact wordings they place in the lift notice.. ( I love to read the notice when I take the lift and had nothing else to do when I was in sec sch)
Ok, so I tried to make myself feel less panicky..
Noticed that the lift is still under operating mode.. as in the light is still on.. can still hear the faint humming sound.. Can breath.. So i guess it should be moving.. somemore the screen showed level 5 now.
But how come its taking ages to reach level 9?!!? WHY 5 never change to 9?!!!!???
I was staring at the number so intently!!!
I tried the OPEN button again.. nothing happened. I pressed 5. nothing happened too..
Shit.
Pressed the JING LIN!!! Alarm bell!! one short... erm.. then got panicky.. pressed a few long ones...
Nothing happened!!
Shit..
Hmm.. the gal and the uncle sitting downstairs at level 1 must be thinking what happened..
Read from a newspaper article that one should stand in a half squat position in case lift drops.
Shit lah...
It wouldnt happen ba...
Another round of useless attempts of OPEN, Level 5 and Level 9 buttons..
Am I that suay!?

No response.. Wat to do wat to do... =(
Press the OPEN button AGAIN... nothing nothing nothing happened..
BUT.. hmm.. the humming sound is still there!! Good. At least something comforting..
And after what seems like one thousand yrs, the door finally opened..
5th FLoor!!!
Quickly stepped out of the lift and immediately called the service & maintenance hotline.
So I reported what happened and they said tt they will send someone down.
Guess I was still in shock.. cos I said blk 8XX but didnt say where on earth in Singapore the blk is at.. stupid sia.. The guy had to ask where is the blk 8XX then I realised.. bodoh...
Climbed up to my level and made a quick check with my cousins next door that everyone is home le and then called my dad and bro to ask them to take the other lift.
1st time trapped in lift.
What an experience.... -_____-
Now I am reminded of the childhood incident where my mum was robbed in the lift.
Jack, Yenling and I were with her and yes the lift ride was just as long!!
No.. it was a much longer ride.. like forever.. scary... =(
