Well, some updates & pictures of Meow Me then.
Meow Me has grown a lot. However, she's still having her diarrhoea and that is considered quite serious as it has been like that since 14th December. She's been here for 3 weeks and has already been to the vet thrice. The last trip was on last friday and the vet changed one of the medication to a orange flavoured antibiotics (Metronidazole suspension) one instead of the awful pungent smelling clear one(Amprolium Syrup). Meow Me dreads the clear medication. She practically flew around the house and foam out all the medication plus a lot of her saliva. =( Dr Pauline nicknamed her Drama Queen. -__-"
Luckily, it is still manageable feeding her this orange one.. At least she dun foam that much. She will have to continue with the Benebac and Kaolin-Pectin Suspension daily until she's better though. So its 3 types of med twice daily except for the Benebac which have to be taken only once per day. Poor gal. And now, she's back to canned food, but its a Prescription diet (i/d) which should be given to her 4-6 times a day. Jack says its like she's a body builder... small and frequent meals. hahaa..
Oh and we brought her for her first grooming on that friday too. She really need a shave especially at the pi pi there.. cos her poo poo keeps getting stuck at the fur there. =( It been really difficult having to coax/chase after her to clean her up. We tried everything we can think of. Wet tissue, wet towel and also washing at the bathroom. Option 1 and 2 requires many rubs and kneeling down at odd positions but its still better than option 3, which proved to be really traumatising for both her and shawn and me and mum and auntie and jack. Our hands, legs and even shoulder have scratches thanks to her. But we learn from experiences. The first time mummy and me wash her, we left the tap running. After some research on the internet, we found out that when bathing her or cleaning her up, it will be much wiser to prepare the water in advance and reduce the noises to a minimum. So no running tap, no plastic bags rustling.
So anyway, after the grooming, cleaning up is so much easier. And her pinky paws are much more visible. They are really soft!!!! But I dun really understand where they shave under her belly too.. To prevent her from licking them there? Oh ya her claws! Before the grooming, Shawn and I finally managed to successfully clip her nails. Its much easier doing that when she's in the sleepy mode. Dear thought it was a great achievement until the groomer said that we forgot to trim the front claws!!! Super super paiseh!!! How can we forget the most powerful ones!
Although sick, she is still very hyperactive. She loves her toys (which is ever increasing thanks to Dad) and tends to be super hyper in the morning and late at night i.e after midnight. She spends most of her afternoon napping and at different spots. Guess she is still finding the most comfy spot. Just yesterday, she was napping away on the table in my mum's sewing room. (Pis below). Nothing will wake her up.. She also loves curling up on our dining chair.. under our sofa, on top of the sofa especially in the evening when my dad reads his papers. recently, she's being developing a habit of sleeping in my room under a small table which I place my laptop. Right now, she's zzing away under Pei Pei's bed. Never once does she sleep inside her basket. I guess she loves the cooling floor... Okie enuf typing.. shall let u guys see some of her photos.
Taken on the first day she came to our house. She was so small, she can curl up into a ball then.
