Ok so its more than half a mth since my last post.And the reason is simple enuff.. Not enough time..
For the past 1 mth plus, I have been waking up much earlier at ard 630am so that there will be enuff time to feed Meow Me her medicine. After work, I have got to rush home and feed her the medicine again before I have my own time to catch some tv, surf the net or tok to dear on skype. Time is never enough and often I end up sleeping at around 12 plus 1am. Have never attempted to ask anyone else to feed her the medication.. dun ask me why.. I also duno.. who can I ask? My mum? Its my cat afterall... So next weekend, when I am away from Spore, I will feel so guilty. Cos I will then have to get my cousin and aunt to look after Meow Me and feed her the medication.
Yes I know some of you may be wondering why she is still on medication after 1 mth plus. Many questions also pop out in my head every day. Been to the vet 5 times and still sick. Its only after yesterday's visit for a Faecal Floatation and Faecal Trypsin Test that they discovered sthin. The good news was that the parasites are gone. The bad news is that Meow Me does not have any enzymes. I asked "No enzymes at all?" and Dr Kasey said yes. As per his explanations, without the enzymes, Meow Me will not be able to absord the nutrients from the food (properly I hope) and will not be able to process the food she ate. That's why the stool comes out loose and super smelly. I was on the way home from NTUC when I received this news. So dumbfounded I was, I didnt really thought thru all that he said. But I did ask him how will Meow Me recover. He said that he is sourcing for a supplement for this from the suppliers.. meanwhile can only hope Meow Me start to produce the enzymes. And nope, the lack of enzymes is not due to her diet. Its in her. =( He had 2 cases before and the cat or cats (I cant remember) recovered after 3-4mths. I really wish that Meow Me will recover soon... It hurts my heart to see her meowing for her food so many times a day. We are feeding her 5 to 6 meals/day and that's around 1 big can of the i/d diet. That's adult cat portion. But we cant help it.. She cant absorb the nutrients so the signal sent to her brain is that she is still hungry. In time to come, we may have to feed her more than a can per day. Poor darling.. But we still love you anyway. People pray with me that Meow Me will recover soon okie? Thank you.
